I hold a Master's in Fine Art from UWE Bristol and work as a freelance illustrator for publishers and editorial clients. My work has appeared in The Guardian, Bristol 24/7, and several children's book series. Teaching is a natural extension of my practice; I find that explaining techniques to others deepens my own understanding.

I teach drawing and painting for all levels, from complete beginners who have never held a charcoal stick to advanced students building portfolios for art school applications. My sessions cover observational drawing, figure drawing, colour theory, composition, and mixed media experimentation.
For illustration students, I offer guidance on developing a personal style, building a professional portfolio, and navigating the freelance illustration market. I can advise on both traditional and digital illustration workflows.
Bristol is one of the UK's most creative cities, and I make full use of its galleries, street art, and landscape as teaching resources. When weather permits, we sketch outdoors. I believe art should be joyful, and my sessions reflect that, even when we are working hard on technical fundamentals.

βPatient and encouraging, even when I struggled with the basics. Never made me feel judged. Genuinely invested in my progress.β
βReliable and professional. Sessions are always on time. Could be slightly more dynamic in presentation style but the content is excellent.β
